What makes this hearing so different to any other hearing that has been attended by the Media in the past? Breytenbach knows too much…Put them in their place Glynnis! Bunch of cowards, all walking with their tails between their legs. The truth hurts….
If you as a Citizen of this country are not concerned that this was all about trying to stop her prosecuting Richard Mdluli and you do not realize the seriousness of this and you are not interested in the media being because you believe that the NPA will give you an unbaised report afterwards… well then, I think that sums up nicely why this country is a mess and why democracy is not really working here in SA.

Judge Dennis Davis says that it is important that the constitutional value of transparency translates into the citizenry having regular access to public information. Citizens‟ right of access to information is guaranteed in section 32 of the Constitution. Furthermore, the Promotion of Access to Information Act8 gives further content to this enshrined right as contained in section 32, subject to certain justifiable limitations. But further legislative measures provide the public with additional rights to gain access to critical records which may unlock corruption. Thus, for example, the Local Government and Municipal Systems Act 9, guarantees public access to information on a level that, arguably, may be more favourable to the public than is the case in many comparative jurisdictions.
